I'm trying to teach myself to not expect anymore, and to find more joy in the process rather than thinking about the results. Like, if I were to do something, it will be because I really do want to do it, not because of a "reward" in return. So if it doesn't turn out to be a positive reaction, I won't be disappointed. I hope you're able to succeed in not expecting anything, 'cause that seems like a difficult thing to do. But I know you'll be able to work hard enough to achieve it, or at least come rather close. Life would definitely feel more at ease when you learn to not expect anything of anyone or anything. The closest I've come to that is to have high tolerance of others, 'cause I know I'm not better than anyone. I hope I will be able to, too. Having high tolerance is a very good thing. It's definitely a great trait to have in life and it will help you in so many areas.

Thank you for your comment.

I have some quotes that I think you will like ;)

Praise and blame, gain and loss, pleasure and sorrow, come and go like the wind. To be happy, rest like a giant tree in the midst of them all. ~ Buddha

"Be careful of your thoughts, for your thoughts inspire your words.
Be careful of your words, for your words precede your actions.
Be careful of your actions, for your actions become your habits.
Be careful of your habits, for your habits build your character.
Be careful of your character, for your character decides your destiny."
~ Chinese proverb

I really like the first one. It goes with what I'm trying to do.

I've heard of the second one before. In fact, I was just staring at a poster of it in my English class the other day. It is very wise, though.

Thank you for taking the time to find those quotes for me.
