The Dallas Trocars are hosting a Hearse Rally and Overnight Campout!
Dinner and movies will be included Saturday night. This event is being held at the 13th Street Morgue located at 410 Houston School Rd, Red Oak TX 75154. Outside we have a large midway with electricity (no a/c units please) and on one end of the midway is a movie theatre, the only theatre in town! The Trocars will have all their Hearses on display and anybody else in the area that wants to come out and show off their Hearses, though you certainly don't have to own a hearse to attend. We will be cooking out hamburgers, hot dogs, some massively good O-Rings and anything else we can find to throw on a grill. We'll be showing Ghostbusters, the original Dracula, Night of the Living Dead and finally Harold and Maude, the ultimate hearse film. Bring your tents or camper and camp out with the Trocars, or contact a local hotel in the area if your not the out doorsy type! Heck, this might be your big chance to sleep in your car. There will be port-o-lets on the property but no showers or running water. If you have any questions email us at dallastrocars@yahoo.com or alexcantsleep@yahoo.com. Anyone is welcome to come out, either bring your own hearse or just come out to enjoy the view of the others. If you need directions, go here:
http://www.13thstreetmorgue.com/ This rally is kind of last minute, but may become an annual event for the National Hearse and Ambulance Association.
We'll turn the midway lights off about 1 am for the benefit of those trying to sleep, but that doesn't mean you have to by any means.
Sunday doesn't have much of a schedule due to the variance of people's waking times, but we have the property to use until noon, so you don't have to get up too early if you choose to stay the night.
Now, a few rules and regulations for the car show......
1.You must have a hearse to show a vehicle on the show field. Over the years we've had many people want to join the club with non-hearse vehicles. While these are great cars, we're not a club of oddities, its a funeral car club. A funeral car is a coach built car in the form of a hearse, limo, ambulance, combo or flower car. We don't mean to be elitists, but we had to make this rule years ago.
2. You are showing your car and attending the rally at your own risk. People generally don't mess with cars, but do be aware kids touch sometimes, etc..... The Trocars have always held the stance "Hey, touch me, I'm just that type of car!"
3. When you pull up to the gate, you'll pay the attendant and be given a ballot. Everyone in attendance will be allowed to vote.
4. If you attend the rally, you do not have to pay to show your hearse. The fees collected are to cover dinner and the staff. We are not making money on the rally.
5. The categories are......
Best Displayed
Most Decayed
Wildest Ride
Most likely to still be in service

For Destruct-a-con........
Feel free to bring appliances you’d like to break or throw. Think "Office Space". Take out your aggressions. But we do ask that people not get too out of hand and to not do anything dangerous.
