I LOVE Once! And I completely agree about the lack of fangirling and ficcing! I think I've found maybe two Once fics. I saw the movie around last Christmas and bought it immediately after, and I've become a huge fan of Glen and Mar and the Frames since then. I actually started a fic not long after seeing it, but like most fics I start, I never finished it. It would be awesome to have somebody to talk about the movie with, though!

I found a Once fic (only the one, though) once, but it was woefully short. Although what was there was lovely and very much in the spirit of canon! ...I wish there was more fic. :(

I actually got into the Frames first, and then the movie, and then became totally obsessed with Glen and Mar and everything they do and I wish I knew more people to talk to about it!

It's such a brilliant movie! I feel gypped that they only got nominated for "Best Original Song"...they should have been recognized in "Best Picture", "Best Actor", "Best Actress", "Best Screenplay", "Best Director", "Best Cinematography"...XD

Ohmygod, Hello. Glen and Mar are pretty much all I ever think/talk about, which is a little sad, but there you go. I've never found any Once fic at all, though. I started some, but the line between Once and reality got a little wibbly-wobbly, and I wasn't quite sure how to handle that.

Hello! Glen and Mar are utterly wonderful and brilliant and ridiculously adorable and I LOVE THEM.

I started some, but the line between Once and reality got a little wibbly-wobbly, and I wasn't quite sure how to handle that.

I had the same problem...I started trying to write a theme set for 1sentence, got to a point where I wasn't totally sure if I was writing Guy/Girl or Glen/Mar and had to stop. :O

This is coming from someone who loves RPF, but... does it really matter so much? I mean, they both say that the characters on screen are basically them, just in different situations. So, in a way, it's kind of impossible to write Guy/Girl and it not be a little bit Glen/Mar as well. It seems to me that the only line to be crossed is whether or not what you're writing is set in the movie canon.

You know?

It does, a little? For me. Because I have issues with RPF. (Issues of the "not my thing" kind, not the "OMGWRONG" kind.) I have a mental block where writing fiction about real people feels like libel, even though I know it's not.

I understand what you're saying, it's just...a mental block. *flails at inability to explain*

Thanks for posting! I've not heard of it before... wonder if it'd be available here, or online?

It's really a wonderful, beautiful movie. I have absolutely no idea if it's available there, but it can't hurt to check...I know it's available online because I have an online video of it, so if you can't get ahold of it any other way, let me know. *cough*
