Hi everyone, I'm your new mod around here. *waves*

I was wondering if any of you are fans of Megan Whalen Turner's books The Thief, The Queen of Attolia and The King of Attolia?

If you haven't read them, I highly and enthusiastically recommend them!

I LOVE them! I do! I've only read King once though, argh. Um, my favourites... I think Eddis is my favourite! Eddis and Gen's father. I also dig Gen and the Magus, oh, and Pol, I liked Pol. And Sophos (I'm always sad we don't hear more about Sophos.)

My favourite book is definitely The Thief, just because I LOVE the way Gen pulls the wool over the magus' eyes. I do! I love the denouement.

Yay! I wish more people read these books, they are SO good! I think Gen is my favorite. I love Eddis and the Magus too, and Pol. And I wanted to hear more about Sophos too.

I remember getting to the reveal in The Thief for the first time and thinking "This is fabulous." That's what really made me fall in love with the book.

I read The Thief a while back (on the recommendation of a comment in this community, I believe) and sadly some of the details are a little fuzzy, but I definitely enjoyed it! Need to read it again, along with the other two that I haven't read yet.. I do remember finding Gen quite amusing and liked the dynamics between the different members of the traveling group. Sorry I can't say something more specific, though! It was during a time that I got a bunch of books from the library while I was on break from being at college, so some of them kind of run together..

Yes, Gen is very amusing! The second and third books are a little different from the first- they're in third person instead of first, for one thing- but they're very good. I'd definitely recommend them! If you do read them at some point, do let me know what you thought!
