Does Across the Universe count? I know it's gained some popularity and stuff, but I can see it becoming really obscure in a couple years, even next year. Even some of my less 'hip' friends don't know about it, and it takes place in the past.
It's just I really don't draw fanart or fanfiction much, as I prefer to create my own characters and storylines and such instead of borrowing from others. And I just sort of drew alot of sketches for Across the Universe while watching one of the gajillion times I seen it already.

Sure, it counts.
As long as you can connect whatever you're doing with the theme of 'the past'. So, maybe... the character's pasts.

oh sorry, if it takes place in the past, then automatically almost anything you do could be connected to 'the past.'

But, say I wanted to do something for a fandom set in the modern day, to fit with 'the past' I'd write about something that for the characters, happened long ago, or a romance where they decide to leave the relationship in 'the past', or whatever...

ooo I hope you do! :D
And if you do, link it to the comm? Or not, I guess, if you really don't want people to see it...
