Someone already mentioned the Witch Mountain movies, and sort of the books.  I know a lot of people have fond memories of the movies from their childhoods, but I love the books even more. I still re-read mine on a regular basis and buy used copies to give to new people to enjoy. This book was one of the biggest influences on my entire life. I know ( Read more... )

I remembered it--or most of it anyway--the song seems to stick with people.

And all three of the animes were chopped to bits by American TV, though I liked them all as a kid.

Heh, I love that film. But nobody I talk to ever seems to remember it until I mention the voice of Lisa Simpson getting her first period.

Yeah, she was in it. I never really have anyone to talk to about it. Though I'm hoping to get my own copy of it to show to people again someday. Is it silly to think there's a bit more to it than meets the eye?

"The Legend of Bilie Jean" is a really awesome film. Caught it by chance on television. i like the part where Helen Slater chopped of her hair (hope i got that part right) to avoid being recognised. Somehow its prob due to the fact that i was still a teen and its cool seeing the way she led her life although she was forced by circumstances... so basically yeah!!!
By any chance do anyone know if Helen n Christian are related? been trying to figure that out since they shared the same surname.

I don't think they are. Both are stage names, according to IMDb. His original family name was Hawkins, hers was Schlacter. I thought they were real siblings the first time I saw the film back in the day.

I always remember the sequences where she watches Joan of Arc and the shop burning a the end. They make me cry.
