I read most of Famous Five as a kid. Did you read the Adventure series? They were my best. Were called things like Castle of Adventure and Island of Adventure. I also read a lot of the Secret Seven.

The Adventure series was probably my favourite too, although it did result in an unusual yearning in me for a pet parrot called Kiki and a diet of ginger beer until I was worryingly old! I also really liked the Mystery ones, with Barney and his monkey (I think I had a bit of an animal thing going on as a child). And all her school stories (especially Malory Towers, which made me want to go to boarding school and change my name to Darrell)! Oh, and the Five Find-Outers (and dog)! And, naturally, the Famous Five, although I was never much of a fan of the Secret Seven...

(Er, apparently I didn't actually seem to have parents - I was just brought up by Enid Blyton and her travelling circus...)

Thank you, thank you for making me giggle so much!
You read a lot more Enid Blyton than me - I feel ignorant now!

To be honest, it's nice to receive a reaction other than abject terror when I reveal my staggering (read: "Oh God I Am Never Going To Get Those Hours Back") breadth of Blyton knowledge.

But don't worry about it - not everyone can become an Enid Blyton connoisseur: it's really limited just to the absolute elite of... well, children who apparently never left their houses!

(Did I mention I collected every issue of an Enid Blyton magazine back in my wild youth? That was, until it got cancelled because I was very possibly the only person in the world who ever read it. Sometimes I still weep.)

no, didn't mean anything about repeats if that's what you mean. It's the 'list' entry without any details.

Not only is your post a list, but Firefly is not terribly obscure.

Yeah, it's certainly not obscure in the (rabid) fan community. Too bad it was in the rest of TV land. Awesome that we got the movie Serenity after the show was canceled, though. Yay fandom! And yay for Nathan Fillion getting some recognition for the indie darling and totally made of awesome movie Waitress.
