[Pao-lin almost responds with a voice message, since she's started to get used to hearing and doing them, but then it occurs to her that there might be a reason for this post to be written. Being new herself, she's not sure how much she can help this person, but she should at least try.]

[There's a pause while he considers what he should ask first. He's gotten the basics of what he is from the... person he'd just met and the workings of the journal. But it never hurt to cross reference.]

What is this place?

It's a village called Luceti. We were all taken here from our worlds by the Malnosso, who use us in experiments as well as send us to fight in wars against an outside threat called the Third Party.

A war? Has everyone here been drafted? [That was an interesting piece of information. He'll handwave the idea of other worlds for now.]

Not everyone, I don't think. Otherwise there'd be no one to keep the village running in the meantime.

I guess so. It's not really clear what the Malnosso intend to do with us. I mean, they took us from our worlds, but then they say that the purpose of the experiments they do on us is to try to find a way to send us home. It doesn't make any sense.

It's okay, both LJ and net failed on me.

[A thoughtful pause.] Does anyone know if they meant to take us?

I'm not sure. I don't remember seeing it mentioned too much in the guide, and I haven't heard anyone talk much about it. [She's seen some discussion about the details of the situation, but it was over a locked/private network and she remembers being warned not to discuss that sort of stuff over the journals. So yes, she hasn't technically heard anyone talk about it; she's read about it instead.] But then again I've only been here for about three weeks. People who have been here longer will probably know more, and if you meet them in person you should definitely ask them about it. [Pause. Who was the guy who wrote up the one locked entry about the Malnosso and the Third Party?] One person who would definitely know is Albert Silverberg. I haven't met him, but I've heard about him. He's been around for a while.

[Pao-lin's eyes widen at this. She'd come in on the tail end of the New Feather cycle, or so it seemed, and so she'd given up hope on seeing anyone from Sternbild for at least the next few months. Who is she speaking to now? Is it one of the Heroes?]

[Aaaaaaand Pao-lin is more than slightly disappoint. She does recognize Yuri's name, both from the post-season parties as well as when he sometimes came around to ask the Heroes for input on what could be improved about HeroTV and its facilities. He was polite enough, but she always thought there was something a bit creepy about him. Why does he have such pretty hair?

Still, this is better than nothing. It'll be good to see another familiar face.]
