I actually really like The Good Wife, and if you like serious dramas, you might too. The main story is that Alicia Florrick's (Julianna Margulies) husband (Chris Noth) gets caught in a big sex/corruption scandal, and is in jail awaiting trial. In order to support her family, she goes back to work as a junior associate where an old law-school friend (Josh Charles) is a partner. There's lots of good drama here, from her trying to put on a good face about staying with her husband, while she clearly wants to leave him forever for what he did, while also trying to figure out if he can ever be the man he married again. The kids are pretty awesome trying to deal with being teenagers, being ripped out of the suburbs and suddenly having their uptight grandmother looking after them, and barely being able to handle what's going on with their family never mind seeing it splashed across the news. At work, Alicia doesn't just try to figure out if she's flirting with one of her bosses, and deal with the other junior associate (Matt Czuchry) ( ... )

Ooh, thanks for the synopsis! I think it premiered when I already had too much television to keep up with, and the idea of taking yet another hour of my week to watch Julianna Margulies be long-suffering was not ranking high in my priorities, but I keep hearing good things, so maybe I'll catch up someday.
