Is it common for the Scrapyard to be so broken-up?

I found a few items of interest down there, despite my intentions not to visit it. Ah, well.

I'm back at the room, Gundam.

Has anyone seen a red stone that fits to the bottom half of this?

lost ones, c: trust, broken ember stone, !edensphere: journal entry, swords are a specialty, scrapyard, c: clé, brother is worried

From what I have seen of the objects brought to me from the Scrapyard, they are either broken or in grave disrepair.

I figured I would sometime.

It took a while to even find that piece, I'm not sure how long looking for a specific item that small will take.
