Now I'm going to be afraid to use the loo for fear of Female Carrow lurking there. Thank you, Padma.

Perhaps they want to know everyone's family trees so that they can start arranging pureblooded marriages without everyone being too inbred.

Hopefully if any of them are in your loo it'll be the male one.

Don't say that. That's disgusting.

That doesn't make me feel that much better.

You don't think they're going to start asking everyone, do you?

Sorry.

Yes, I think it's very likely.

I don't have a good feeling about this.

Oh no! Do you think she's going to ask everyone about it? What if we don't know very much about our bloodlines at all? I don't have my family tree memorised either just enough so that Dad won't --? Or if my father doesn't work at the Ministry? Oh dear, I really don't like this at all and I don't know what I'd do if I got asked. I can't let anything happen to --

I think it's likely. Unless it is only prefects, in which case you would need to be wary as well, Hannah.

Try to be prepared.

I was walking back to Hufflepuff last night, and I was about to turn into the hallway by the painting of Fingal the Fearless. I didn't see anyone, but I heard a clanking of armour, so I went around that corridor. Hopefully, I avoided questioning.

How do surnames in India work? Are they regional?

You might not be able to avoid it for long.

The spelling can be regional (Patel vs Patil, for example), but they are linked to castes.

You're right. I'm going to watch out.

That's really fascinating. You have castes based on occupation, correct? Like, priest, warrior, merchant, peasant?
