Happy Birthday, Dad

Today is my dad's birthday.  He would've been 83 today.  I know he is in a wonderful place now, and so I'm not sad for him, just for me and my family.  I miss him terribly...some days are worse than others.  I miss being snarky with him, and I miss watching him and Chelsea together.  He idolized her.  Sometimes I go in his study at the Mom's house

It's ok. It's been 2 years and I'm really to the point where thinking of him just give me happy memories most of the time. Time really does heal.

I'm so sorry. It does get better over time. My Dad died 10 years ago in December, and even though it doesn't totally go away, it has gotten easier.

It has gotten easier. I find myself thinking of the good things and smiling or laughing.

Thanks. I really am doing quite better about his death. I am close to a point where I really can just remember the good.
