Hey gang! Been here since Thursday, but have been busy. Late Thursday afternoon Bill met us here in Kingsport, and we all went to our friends Tara and John's house. John and Bill were in Iraq together, and several troop members gathered at John's house to have a cookout and celebrate the memory of SSG Maddies, who was killed in action a year ago ( Read more... )

I would say you're probably screaming your head off at men in tights right about now, so I hope you're having a blast.

I just realized we never made a plan for lunch. I'm going to church in the morning, but will be out by noon. Do you want to try to meet somewhere in the neighborhood of 12:45-1ish? I can just give you a call when I get out if you want. Is Cootie Brown's OK, or would you rather go somewhere else? It's your call.

Well, that was fun, wasn't it? I just got up and it's KILLING me. Like to the point that I can barely move or breathe. I'm about to scream. OK, I have screamed.

For me, camping is having one of those RV's that are like hotels on wheels. I do like to go on nature hikes, during the day. However, I tried the roughing type of camping, and since I am so allergic to poison ivy, that I break out just looking at it, and mosquitoes love to feast upon me, that did not work out so well. I ended up sleeping in my car a couple times as a result. Not fun.

I really like camping, but truth be told, I think I'd choose to go the same route as you. I'll be rugged during the day, and comfortable at night. :) I read ahead in your journal, so I know the camping trip was a hit! I'm glad they had fun!

The get together sounds fun, and a toast in Maddie's honor was a touching tribute.

My husband covets your wrestling adventure! :)

They did have a blast, and I so glad.

The cook-out for Maddies was a lot of fun, and Bill enjoyed seeing his former troopmates.

The wrestling show was awesome!
