Oh jeez, I thought I was too tired to read anything anymore, but then this sucked me in! I'm still smiling and I'm totally with Darcy - But it was really fucking cute.
I loved the little jibe at the celebrities jumping on chairs in talk shows (Tom, you really never should have done that, you cute little weirdo) and the chemistry between Nat and Clint. Lovely, just lovely! Now I can go to bed happy ;D

MWAHAHAHAHAHAA!!!! I'm glad it sucked you in, it sucked me in as well. I couldn't stop writing until it was done -done. Yes that was a jibe at Tom (oh God, when I think of Oprah's face then). I'm so glad that the chemistry between Nat and Clint shows! Thank you! I hope you had sweet dreams.

Heheehehehehehee :D Yes, it did and I'm not even sorry ;D You know that a hurt Clint is like crack to me, right???? So once I read that, there was no way I was not reading that immediately. And I laughed out loud at that jibe, awesome :D Oh, there was plenty chemistry and I loved that it was there for all to see while they were still "only" friends. And then the end... Oh, I had wonderful dreams :D

Yeah, there's a certain appeal to hurt!Clint. Hmmm *ponders* I think I could do more in this universe, I mean, this man has to eventually come home. Oh blast, I think I prompted myself!! You know that Tom - jibe happened so suddenly - I didn't plan it it just appeared in my head. I was so pleased about that.

YEEEEES. "Only" friends. That's why I mentioned "When Harry met Sally", that movie is cute and it makes me headdesk as well, and I fully think men and women can be friends - I also think that true, solid love is based on friendship (my husband is my best friend). So I like that they have that here; they're best friends who really know each other and their connection is solid and real and then they allow themsleves to fall for one another - just like non!AU versions of them. :D :D

AWESOME. I'M GLAD YOU HAD GOOD DREAMS !!!!!

The movie references made me smile like a lunatic. :) Way to work those in there! Loki is a right bastard... Poor Natasha. I would have loved to see that clip, though, and I think the best part is that despite the fact that it would show quite clearly how she felt about him - and thus lead everyone to think they were intimately involved - they weren't. They had that foundation of friendship, of years spent together, of things beyond lust and longing. And that's something that I never realized I loved in a relationship, especially Natasha and Clint's, before now. Huh. You learn something new every day!

So well done, and yes, absolutely fucking cute. :D

Yaaaaaaaayyyyy! I managed to sneak in Indiana Jones which is one of my favorite movies, and Avengers stuff, and poke fun at Tom Cruise and various gossip sites and !!!! It was so fun to write it. Yep, Loki is a d-bag. Just like in the movie.

And YES. This version of them - they've known each other for years and years and they've always been friends and he's been there at her side through break ups and bad movie reviews and ugly gossip and through painful memories of her past. So yes, they have that, they have the foundations, and I like how she is "I have nothing to hide" because it's the best kind of friendship there can be. They weren't involved, but there's a solid, strong connection between them; just one step away from romantic love. And Natasha is, I've had enough of what entire world is going to say, I'm gonna kiss whom I want to kiss (and she totally knows how Clint feels). I'm... so honored that this fic in particular brought out how important that connection is, for you. So happy! Thank you, thank you SO MUCH! :DDDDD

This is fan-fricking-TAStic. Holy cow.

I have to say that i am most impressed with how insanely well you paralleled it with, um, everything. And in one sitting. You scary, scary person! :D Totally saving to memories!!!

*BLUSHES* OH MY GOD THANK YOU. Yeah, it was a mind race - to put all the words onto paper and the plot and then make parallels for the movie things - Is this love (Agent Romanoff), Loki questioning Natasha turned into Loki interviewing Natasha; later she said to Clint she would hit him hard on the head and how she compromised their friendship (not an exact parallel to "I've been compromised" but close, I think). And then the movie references and poking fun at celebrity mania and all that, it was a fun, intense ride. I think the fact that this was in my head for a couple of days helped to get it done in one sitting. It doesn't happen often, tho, so please don't be scared! *hugs*

That was a wonderful surprise to come across on a blah Saturday morning. I don't know how many times I've used that line from Indiana Jones to explain my own battered body to people ... ;-)

Loved all the little bits of "reality" you wove in -- Loki's lines, Natasha's response, the "fall". And ... Darcy the shipper-from-the-sidelines!!! Very nicely done. If this was on AO3, I'd be pressing the kudo button!

Dude, I am all saaaaadeyes here! Did everyone miss when I posted this? (I have to go and poke Ink, it was her prompt, lol. I'm starting to doubt she's hating it! (kidding)). And are you kidding me? It IS on AO3. Most recent thing I posted there :D

Yes, yes, don't you see how shamelessly I ripped off poor Indy? Okay, it was not ripping off, it was a loving homage to one of my favorite movie series. Also, the Avengers references were so much FUN, and do you believe me I had this in my head ever since that prompt was posted? And Dracy. Darcy steals every fic now it seems. I LUFF that girl. (Also, curious, what exactly did you mean by "fall"? I have an idea, but I'm not sure, so I'm very curioussss.)

How did I miss this yesterday? Well, I don't ALWAYS look at my various social and FF sites -- I do have a life, even if right now it mostly consists of sitting on the couch in between medical and physio appointments ... ;-) It also doesn't help that the master prompt collection has slipped off the front page of be_compromised. I actually went looking for it this morning, which is how I found this. I hardly ever check AO3 because there's just sooooo much stuff there, it overwhelms me. I tend do read via recs, and shamelessly pilfer the favourite lists of people who *ping* my own stories. And yeah, I know what it means not to get an immediate comment from the person whose prompt you used (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)... ;-)

By the fall I meant the stunt in which Clint got injured -- I pictured the one that sent Hawkeye through that window. Was that wrong?

Don't yell! Lol. I never assumed otherwise (aka that you don't have a life :D ) Anyway I'm glad you found it and liked it and you're so right about AO3. It's a jungle. I usually look into people whose writing I enjoy or follow recs. And YES I owe you a proper comment. Will fix that ASAP.

I had the throwing -himself-off-the-building one, but that's essentially the same jump, so yes. That stunt. *nods*

WOMAN, I HAVE READ THIS THREE TIMES TODAY AND IT DID, AS ANTICIPATED, MAKE MY DAY. EVERY TIME.

I love all of the film references and the celebrity jibes. The accident itself - actors *cough*renner*cough doing their own stunts and the dangers of that, the ageist tone of the film industry, all the falling and diving off things Clint does (and have you seen that 'it's raining men; ameteurs' thing on tumblr because it sprung to mind lol). Indiana Jones!!! (Love those movies, especially the Last Crusade, especially especially the revolving fireplace from the burning room to the Nazis and 'our situation has not improved'. Indy <3 ) Love the world building, all the film production details and the hints of history between Natasha and Clint, and the banter between the two of them ( ... )

THREE TIMES' YOU HAVE READ IT THREE TIMES??? NOW THAT HAS MADE MY MORNING :DDDDDDDD

Yeah I had Clint's "backward dive" in mind. When you think, it's dangerous thing to do, and sometimes I wonder what's in the head of those actors who do it themselves. The "I'm not authentic if it's not *me*" thing, or proving something, or the risk -taking because that can be adrenaline, or all together? And no, haven't seen that thing on tumblr! It hasn't found its way to me. YES YES YES INDYYYYYYY <3333333!!!! (Should Nat and Clint sign up for Indiana-esque kind of movie where her character makes all kinds of ageist jibes at him? Ooooor... should they go back together on Odinson show and give him run for his money? With rest) of their "Avenging" co stars? *G ( ... )
