So the time has come Challenge 1 is here!!!

This challenge will award you 10 points and is following:

Things I'll try not do anymore (no guarantees I'll succeed, though; my beta's fantastic, but can only do so much):

1. Adverb/adjective overuse. JKR may get away with it, but I don't, not really.

2. Going off on too many tangents that are nice for background info, but don't advance the plot and probably interest nobody but myself, anyway.

3. Stop replacing "said" with other words that have little or nothing to do with verbal communication.

oh the procrastination- i do so feel you on that!
and the background thing too but in me a part goes: "i just want to paint a picture so that everybody understands XD"
and in hindsight i think not even jkr got away with it ;)

1. More show, less tell
2. Cut down on adverbs
3. Better at descriptions, especially of scenes

well that is down to the point- and i am certain you can do it!

1. Definitely do better show not tell.

2. Research is my jam and it helps me write but I need to be more discerning about what to include and what to leave in my head.

3. Improve my snark and conflict. I'm excellent and fluff but not so much the other end of the spectrum.

uhhh snark! snark is so fucking hard to write, because in rl it just happens;
and go for the other goals too- they are tough ones!

1. finish stuff! doesnt matter what just finishing it
2. writing regularly because at the moment i am not in routine land, but in putting fire out land- sucks to be there
3. more structure in my stories and less side fluff

I struggle with routine writing too! too often writing the week before it's due. Good luck!
