What is kinetic motion and patient motion? I'm not too sure about the others, either, but I think I can guess!

Kinetic energy is about the energy something possesses because of its motion; reaching and then maintaining a certain level energy. So, i see it as a build up and then continuation of energy/plot/etc within the story. From that, i see patient motion as something more subdued and/or gradual/up and down in terms of a story's energy.

Does that make any sense?

Thank you, I think so! I'm not very good at analysing my own writing, so I'm not sure which camp I fall into, but it's an interesting concept!

I would very much like to see you writing some smut with stoic dialogue and kinetic energy.

About the graphic: I did a TinEye reverse search on it and came up with this: https://daphodillsgarden.wordpress.com/2014/05/02/how-your-personality-type-affects-your-writing/comment-page-1/
It says "The graphic below came from an analysis done through the BookGeome Project in association with Nation Novel Writing Month."

I think I actually write in EDBK? I really have no idea. If anyone knows, please tell me because I must know now.

This was interesting.

It seems no one can find the original source for this image, however this blogger has had a go at breaking it down himself. If you like the concept, you may find this article worth a read.
