Such a sad yet happy story. I loved the parallels of the failing marriage and the growing relationship. Really well done.

I never liked this pairing so much but knowing some of your other excellent stories I gave it a try.
It's fantastic.
You tackled a delicate subject in a exceptional way and the parallels between both men are so well written I instantly felt with them.
And the end is just great.

Yay! I'm really glad you liked it! I also wrote another one fic for this competition, if you want to check it out. :) It's in a somewhat different style to this, but it does have an OC. If I ever decide to write an OC in the Primeval fandom it'll probably be something like that OC. *g*

Ouch. *hugs Albus*
That was beautifully and tactfully done. All the little hints along the way, the difficult to believe facts, the parallels of their lives being just a little other than mirrors but similar enough. Watching them grow, and learn, I really liked Draco being protective, I like when Teachers take a care of the children they see. Well done with the tale, it hurts, but it heals, too.

Thank you! I'm really glad you liked it. :))

To be honest, I really did feel that canon was a bit lacking in the whole fact Hogwarts basically ignored Harry's home situation. I thought they might have tried to do something.

the title of this story is so fitting! i enjoyed the way you showed the differences between the two families, even when they were experiencing the same events in their lives, and how their paths ceased being parallels and instead intersected in the end.

the only thing i think this story lacks is a plausible reason behind ginny's behaviour, and harry's calm reaction to it all. to me it felt a little OOC, especially if losing his family is his biggest fear. a quiet, private divorce seems like a very..understated? sort of reaction to such a horrific event.

at any rate, good job and thanks for sharing!

Thank you! I'm really glad you liked the parallels and intersections. :) ♥

I sort of didn't want to explain Ginny's behaviour because I wanted to leave it open for interpretation. I kind of thought a private divorce would solve the issues of Ginny perhaps getting sole custody of the children. If Harry was scared of losing his kids, then he wouldn't want to take that chance. But that's just my own interpretation. :)

Thank you for the review!

This story is beautiful. I really like the way you described Ginny reactions to the accusations - her defensive denial and anger. And I admired Harry's strength in doing the right thing for his children and walking away from his relationship with her. The counterpoint between Draco's apparently-flawed but actually happy family with Harry's apparently-perfect but deeply disturbed family was wonderful, and the way they slowly drew strength from each other, culminating in their relationship, was a great read ( ... )

I'm really glad you liked it! Thank you so much for your thoughtful review. ♥ I'm really glad I managed to get it to be true to life. I was a bit nervous of how people who had experienced something like this would react to the story. I'm sorry you had to go through something like that. :(
