OMG, this is so amazing! I love Harry's post-war pov, and Malfoy in the bathroom mirroring the scene in canon ... wow, that's just beautiful. So amazingly written and just ... guh. This is brilliant beyond words.

Thank you! I definitely had the "mirror scene" in mind when I wrote this. I absolutely hate that scene in canon (Draco has always been a lot less wimpy in my mind) so re-writing it with my own twist was a lot of fun. Thanks also for the rec - it means a lot! I'm really glad you liked it so much. &hearts

I really enjoyed this. You've captured Harry's quiet desperation very well, and I love that Draco, of all people, feels the same way. Even though Harry didn't expect Draco to stay the night, the ending leaves me hopeful for the two of them. Well done!

"Quiet desperation" is a very good way to describe the feeling I wanted to capture in this fic, so I'm glad that came through. And I personally like to think there's a little hope left for them all. :-)

I'm pleased you enjoyed it - thanks so much for reading!

This was really well written and a delight to read, even though I don't normally like the idea of Ron and Hermione and Harry growing so distant. I loved the interactions between Harry and Draco, and some of the phrasing just really struck me.

Oh, and here's a strange little thing. I put some whiskey in my tea before I sat down to read this, and the bottle of whiskey hissed when I opened it. I even mentally noted that, thinking "I've never noticed it doing that before." And in your story, Harry's whiskey hisses upon opening. Weird!

I don't normally like the idea of Ron and Hermione and Harry growing so distant. Me neither, to tell the truth. But I just started writing and somehow it just seemed to work. Hermione is usually one of my main confidantes so it was a new thing for me to have her be so - unreachable, but it helped give Harry a push in the right direction.

I honestly don't even remember writing that whiskey thing. It must have been subconscious. ;-)

Glad you enjoyed reading!

Eeek! This comment made me run around the room squeeing, because I've never stressed so hard over a fic before. I'm honestly still so terrified when it comes to writing H/D, so thank you very much! It's so nice to here that you liked it so much. &hearts

I like the conceit of this story, that only in a world turned topsy-turvy (Hermione and Ron become strangers, Lucius Malfoy is the Minister of Magic) can Harry and Draco fall in love, or a close facsimile of love. It's a pretty cool concept & story.

Thank you! I guess in that way I have a pretty cynical view of Harry and Draco's relationship - I don't usually tend to see them as two people who are just "meant for each other". The world has to get a little messed up first.

Glad you liked it! Thanks for reading.
