It was brilliant to see Astoria as the hero. Kudos to you for having the girls as strong characters!

Thank you for your wonderful comments! I loved writing Astoria as I did; she was a joy to write and I hope to write much more of her in future. It was also great fun writing Ginny.

Thanks again :-)

Oh, poor Astoria. How sad that she loved Draco for years, all the while knowing that he truly loved Harry, and then feeling she had to sacrifice her own life to fix the huge mistake of the Elder Wand not being destroyed by Harry after the Battle make everything right. She's pretty special for still genuinely wanting Harry and Draco to be together.

And poor Draco, too. Feeling ashamed of his sexuality, and losing his parents right after the Battle (and losing Snape). I'm glad you ended the story on a hopeful note, that makes me believe that he'll let Harry give him the love he needs, and they can be happy together.

(Oh, and how curious that Lucius was so accepting of Draco's sexuality and made his opinions known on how Draco should treat his male partners. I'll bet there's a story there!)

Thank you for your kind comments. Writing Astoria in this fic was such an interesting experience; she is an unknown, which makes her almost more appealing to write than canon characters. I loved giving her such a huge role in this story.

Where Harry craves love, I think Draco wants nothing to do with it ... or so he thinks. In his mind and heart he is just as needy as Harry, but he will never have an easy time letting anyone truly know him. I had to end this fic happily, or at least give them a chance to be happy.

The bit about Lucius having told Draco how to treat his male partners was added to build Lucius's character. I strongly dislike canon Lucius, but I'd like to think that as mean and bad as he was, he had to have had some redeeming qualities. Supporting his son and his preferences seemed the perfect avenue to accomplish this.

Thank you, again!
