Dumbledore told Harry that love was his strength. Love would conquer evil. Voldemort thought love showed weakness. Power and control showed strength, not love.

Harry knew that being loved gave him strength. But love was also his weakness. Those he loved became targets. Their safety Harry valued above his own, which made him vulnerable.

But most of all, love made him whole. He knew that now. He had felt what it was like to have Draco taken from him. And now that he had a chance to get that back, he was strong. He was driven. He would find Draco.

Draco awoke feeling weak. His mind was fuzzy - what had that doctor given him? As his mind began to clear, he recalled what had happened. He tried to get out of bed, only to discover that he was strapped to it. They must have thought he was crazy or dangerous. If they only knew …

But right now Draco was not dangerous at all. He was strapped to a bed in a muggle hospital with no way of contacting Harry. Without his wand, he was just a man. Without magic, he was trapped here. Without Harry he was lost.

Harry steeled himself for what he might find here, having just left the other hospital. He had been shocked to see such a weakened shell of a man in someone so young..

Relief washed over him as he looked inside the room. It was Draco. At once, relief was replaced with anger as he saw his love strapped to the bed. “Why is he strapped down?”

“He tried to get away and -”

“Is he not free to go?”

“Well, yes, but - “

“Release him now. I’m taking him home.”

Draco looked up, relief evident in his smile. “Harry.”
