wild card is an any prompt you choose, from the list or otherwise, as long as it's h/c centered. you still have to fill it out if it's in your bingo, but you choose what to write about.
Hi, I'm sorry if this been mention before but I'm thinking of doing rec posts but I'm not sure if we're allow to do multi-fandoms recs for a fill or is it a fill equal ten recs from one fandom. Also, can I also do rec posts + fics to fill up my bingo? Or do I have to stick with either reccing or writing.
Yes, you can do multifandom recs to fill a prompt. Each square can be filled how you want so you can do recs to fill one square and a fic to fill another. You don't have to stick to doing one thing to fill your bingo.
Um. I am not sure if my fic fills the prompt? I was trying to do 'slaves (sexual)' but it turned more into 'arranged marriage'. How broadly are we allowed to interpret here? /o\
If it helps, there is still a DEFINITE power imbalance, and it is implied that if the husband decide to use his new wife as no more than a sex slave, that wouldn't be regarded as improper. He just doesn't. (BECAUSE I AM INCAPABLE OF WRITING ABOUT BAD PEOPLE D:)
We're encouraging broad interpretation so as long as your fic does deal with "slaves (sexual)" prompt in some way you should be good. The only requirement is that the prompt be the focus of the story. So, for example, if you had the prompt "zombie apocalypse" but only mentioned zombies once and focused the story on a broken arm that wouldn't be in the spirit of the challenge.
This may seem silly to ask but -- does each story have to have both explicit hurt and comfort?
Like say if I had asphyxiation: would I have to detail both the person being choked and their comfort from that or could you write where they are already in the hospital and receiving treatment/comfort?
Also the reverse, could your story just have the being choked part detailed and end with the person being rescued but no more comfort details?
good question! you don't have to write your story out chronologically and explicitly; start with the aftermath and work in details of what's happened in retrospect, and you're golden! but as for reverse, it's a bit... cheating out of genre, and leaving the reader without the expected emotional payoff, so we really, really encourage you not to do that. in our personal opinion, one of the greatest draws of hurt/comfort is the idea that whatever damage is inflicted on the character, it's possible to be fixed; leaving it out sort of defies the purpose.
