This was an eventful evening!
First off all, John went to the library today and found an Austrailian version of Jesus Christ Superstar, and brought it home for us to watch. It's not bad, mostly. Judas looks like Quentin Tarrentino (sp?), but man, has he got a set of pipes on him. Jesus reminds me of an odd cross between Adam Pascal and Michael Bolten and... well, he's okay (see the subject line)... I'm not really buying him as Jesus. The way the director conceptualized it is... interesting. It's as if JCS had a threesome with RENT and The Matrix and this was their love child.
I love our library.
The other thing that happened tonight was that we had a pleasant visit with none other than Rachel and Ms. Erin Evans! She came by to drop off my present. Now, I was flattered that Erin got me a present because I think we've met in person maybe... once? when we saw X-Crap 3. I thought it might have something to do with Chuck Norris, since we both have an affinity for the man. However, what she did bring in literally caused me to wheeze and jump up and down. I've put it under a cut to build suspense...
Yes, it's the Josh Groban "AWAKE" cardboard stand. Erin stole it from Barnes and Noble for me.
It got a little cold. You know those singers... they want to protect their voices.
So, yeah. I've put trinkets in the shelves, so it's become useful. Now if Alicia brings her cardboard Legolas, and John gets his cardboard Han Solo, and Rick gets his cardboard Patrick Stewart, we could definately have a cardboard cutout party. Alicia wants to stick them out of her moon roof and tape martini glasses to their hands and drive around like that.
Also, John got me a cool computer game called "Syberia". I haven't played much, but I like what I've played so far.
