I often get Andrew and Dr. Dre confused with each other. I say things like, "I wonder if Heather and Dr. Dre are coming to Mpls any time this winter. No wait. Not Dre. The other one, wossname."

This comment is hilarious! BTW, we are going to be in the Twin Cities area at Thanksgiving time.

Which means, I take it, that you will not be attending Midrealm Crown Tournament?

How'zabout All Souls' Day,November 7th, up near Chicago?

Sorry, we didn't go to Crown because of family visit. Same thing will go for All Souls', which is when the annual family Hallowthanksmas is happening in Iowa. Our event for November is going to be Crystal Ball. See you at that one?

Illegally Good Chocolate Peanut Butter cookies
recipe from Normal Public Library, with modifications for lawbreaking by hbevert

1 cup butter (I used unsalted)
1 1/2 cups white sugar
2 eggs (I used the egg substitute Ener-G, but I wouldn't call it better or worse)
2 tsp vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
2/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder (to achieve illegal goodness, use extra-dark cocoa)
3/4 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups peanut butter chips (I used "natural peanut butter" chips, which have great peanut flavor because their ingredient list is about three items, two of which are peanuts and sugar)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. In large bowl, cream butter and sugar. Stir in eggs and vanilla thoroughly. In a separate bowl, combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, salt. Stir into creamed mixture. (Use a sturdy spoon or spatula -- this batter is STIFF!) Fold in peanut butter chips. Drop heaping teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets. Bake 8 to 10 minutes.

Yes, but Dr. A is not as funny as Dr. Underdressed or The Mathemagician.
