Nick, who is visiting Calgary from Australia to work on a part-year project with one of the professors in Andrew's dept., was getting a lot of complaints from his boss and friends about his failure to get out to the mountains in the months he's been here. What beautiful winter scenes. I still find it funny a restaurant called Thai Grill. A grill in the U.S. would likely be serving beef.

This restaurant does, in fact, serve beef, although I'm not sure any is of the grilled steak variety. Ginger Beef (a Chinese-Canadian dish that is supposed to have been invented in Calgary) appears on the Thai and Grill's menu although it is not a Thai dish.
