The Inflatable Voodoo Dolls are now the proud owners of a new Edirol soundcard and a Korg R3 synthesiser. This means that we are finally able to record ourselves playing again, and that we have a new keyboard to play as well on top of the Microkorg and the Xiosynth we already have. Hah, you guys are becoming more of a Korg band than Ladytron! Are you using the Legacy collection plugins as well? It's all about that MS-20 filter, baby. One day you guys should get a Frostwave Resonator pedal to run your synths through... that's the closest to an MS-20 ever, and it'll make your synths boom and pop nicely ( ... )

Well, talking of recording stuff, I'm going to try and convince Joe to do just that in the near future so we can finish off the Alan Jones song. Listening to FBI last night, I discovered someone else has done a track with those Alan samples we use (although not cut up in quite the way ours are), and he clearly wasn't afraid of any legal repercussions, so probably neither should we be.

We found a Youtube video showing you how to input new sounds in the Microkorg, and the mechanics of actually setting it up for new sounds was easy enough. But yes, coming up with good sounds isn't easy (although this is probably true of any synth, really).

Also, you have to promise me that if you buy another keyboard anytime soon, it has to have a minimum of 49 keys, or have an analogue filter! :P

The Waldorf Blofeld looks seriously HOT, and sounds great, too. Good for ambient, digital, bell and pad sounds especially...

I can see you with a Moog Little Phatty though, playing a major lead a-la Rick...

You forgot the keytars and light up synth drums although I'm sure Joh could Mod the new keyboard into a strap on (no not that kind!)

Oh please. It was bad enough having to borrow Ant's keyboard stand at the Excelsior without we steal their drums from them as well.
