How am I supposed to get this dissertation written with the football and tennis on?!

It's been a cray-cray World Cup, for sure. I can't believe the two finalists of 2006 are both out before the knockout stages. On a more familiar note, England are making me suffer and now we're playing Germany. charly2004 and I knew this would happen! Regardless of who ( Read more... )

Haha, the England : Australia 2:0 DID confuse me there for a bit, I was wondring when they playd THAT game in Southafrica :P

It's typical isn't it LOL but this time I'm not so sure we'll win, esp. if Schweinsteiger won't be able to play. Will you be around on twitter during the game? I'm out watching it with a friend but will def. be on twitter LOL
OMG now all we need is a draw after 120 minutes LMAO then it is REALLY a special game

Haha I remember trying to explain cricket to you!!! ;p

I think that England players are programmed to lose to Germany, but omg I didn't even think about penalties! Anything but penalties.. *cries*

I'm not sure what I'm doing for the game - maybe hiding under the bed.. lol. Will try and get on twitter if i'm home.

Don't underestimate the Dutch. They're still in as well...

Just sayin'.

And that's not just because I'm married to a Dutchman...

LOL yes! And they're in the other half of the draw too. This could be the year they make the final?? I certainly wouldn't mind them doing well.

I hope for your sake Germany don't play Holland! (Also for my sake because that would mean England are out ;) )

Germany / England will be interesting :P I was expecting this later in the World Cup though ^^

And yes, go Switzerland ! :D I hope they'll pass, hubby would be so dissapointed :/ (well, I'd be too ^^) Especially after winning against Spain ...

Rafa and Roger: get your acts together, tyvm.

Yes, please, damnit. :/ enough of those 5 sets matchs

I think it will be interesting for everyone else and terrifying for me and Charly lol!
Switzerland deserve to go through after beating Spain (and also because I want Stephane and Roger to be happy ;) )

Maybe we should at least be glad they're not out there for 9 hour matches... I REALLY want a final between the two. *crosses fingers*

XD

Yes, definitely ! XD Though they need not to make Switzerland playing at the same time than Roger, it disturbs him XD he had to ask about the score last time *LOL*

Well, I certainly wouldn't mind a 9 hours - or 3 days - match between the two fo them in finale ! XD but before that, please 3 sets matches :P

Football + tennis = way too much stress at the same time :P

I love this post. ;D I don't know how Isner is meant to keep going - and he's in the doubles too! It's crazy. That was incredible, and the football is nuts, and I'm having to work far too much and am relying on highlights, boo.

It's all totally bizarre, which is why sport can be so great :)
Boo for having to work so much during it all :( I have to admit, I was on my own in the office today and it was sooo quiet, so I had iplayer on... LOL.

That's very true. It's unpredictable and crazy at times, for sure.

We were told that if we watched sport at work, it's gross misconduct and we'd get fired. Joy. ;)
