Reading Project

So, I've decided that I HAVE to read more this year. Simply because it's better for me. I just recently finished the Twilight series and am currently rereading it because I like it so much. Other series that I have read and enjoyed immensely: the Harry Potter series, Kushiel's Legacy, Lord of the Rings, the Merry Gentry series by Laurell K. ( Read more... )

Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett are awesome. Ever tried Discworld?

Y'know...I tried reading Good Omens--that's Gaiman, right?--and I don't know if it's the writing style or the story but...I started reading it some time last year and...haven't really picked it up since...? I think I stopped halfway through the book. As for Discworld no, I can't say I have. Mayhap I should look into it...

Good Omens is both Gaiman and Pratchett, but the overall tone is much more similar to Pratchett's stuff than Gaiman's. If you didn't like it, don't bother with Discworld, but you might still give Gaiman a chance.

And that's what happens when you don't close your html tags, children!

I love a bunch of kiddie stories like Inkheart and the Thief Lord...they're probably bad for other people but I adore them <3.

I love kiddie stories!! Anything to suggest as I never read enough as a child and I definitely don't read enough now. My parents always told me I read too much but...compared to a lot of other people I know I seem to have hardly read at all. =( Makes me sad.
