So, on a related note, what do you think of products like this?
In the past year or so, eye shadow has just been . . . sloughing off my eyelid, or nearly completely folding into the crease, within five hours. It's a flaming pain in the ass. I don't know what changed; the only thing I can think of is that I've started to develop higher skin oil production on my lids. Liner seems to be fine, though.
Hmm. I've heard of primers, but never used any myself. Foundation seems to do the trick for me.
Five hours seems fairly normal for run-of-the-mill eyeshadow; do you use a special kind or just generic color? And oil is definitely a factor - what you might want to try is getting a very matte liquid or semi-solid foundation and and/or keeping loose powder on hand to pat over the shadow every few hours to soak up oil.
Otherwise, I'm not sure. I've never really worn substantial makeup for extended periods of time, like 5+ hours.
