Love the socks. I have bever got to grips with knitting socks or complicated patterns. And the card is lovely too

If you want to get to grips with knitting socks, I recommend googling for Silver's sock class - I used this and it took me right through the process (but I ignored the bit where you are supposed to do 1x1 rib all the way to the ankle!) - and I still use her instructions whenever I forget how to do Kitchener stich (which is nearly every time I do a sock toe)

The lace pattern on these socks wasn't too bad as lace goes, and Nancy Bush writes excellent patterns, so surprisingly this turned into 'talking kniting' - I wasn't expecting that.

I keep trying to do cross stitch and failing. I just ordered some children's kits from ebay, let's see if I can master those..
