Wow! My LJ still exists?

After a multi-year hiatus from participating in fandom, I got dragged to 221B by the wonderful . (Not sure if I remember how to do that.)
In an impulsive moment I attempted to log into LJ. And lo and behold, here I am.
Not sure if anyone is still out there or if I will actually start logging in regularly but for the moment, HI!

Life is really good. Nursing is an amazing profession and I love the hospital I work at. I've been off on disability for a couple of months because I tripped over an IV pole and tore my meniscus and needed surgery. I get to go back tomorrow and I am very excited.
We bought a fixer upper house on half an acre in Thousand Oaks last year that is 4-8 minutes from my hospital, (depending on lights) and we have gotten past the point of making it livable and are now moving on to the making it beautiful parts.
How are things in the life of Lin?

I'm great! Not around LJ much but I check in from time to time. I read much more than I write these days!! Still married to my Dutchboy and traveling as much as work will allow. And you?? All is good?

Things are good. Still loving being a nurse and the hospital I work at. Just got my specialty certification as a medical nurse. Next step is getting my masters. Still happily married. Bought a new house last year. Still in Southern California. Four of the five children are now adults. Two have moved out of the house. The youngest is 6 and in first grade. Have not been writing much in recent years. Dusted off a few things when I rediscovered this LJ but then I had to go into super study mode for my certification exam. I will see if anything comes of it.

Lots of things. 😉 How have you been?

Good. Kids now adults. Son finishing up college, daughter in grad school. Still working my ass off. Original fiction scenario is a little depressing but am still plowing forward because that's what I do, write. How are your kidlets doing?

Four of the five kids are adults. Two out of the house and trying to do the adultting thing. The 18 year old is finishing his senior year and then plans to start college next year. The youngest is 6 and is in first grade. I'm glad you are writing even if publishing is being depressing.
