Jenova remnants! Deep Ground SOLDIERS! Vincent! Random happy stuff that makes life oh-so-difficult for everyone else :D.

Rufus likes to play everyone like pawns. But in this case, it's definitely in his best interests to stay on Reeve's side, if he doesn't want to get blown up in a major way again :D Although he's definitely in this to get Shinra Company back on its feet again as well.

O....M.....G!!!!! I haven't read this yet, but when I got an email that you had updated, I was like: "If Empire is updated... I'd be totally f-en grateful..." and then I saw this and I was like O_O

If he has, he's been very quiet about it. I've been planning this fic for more than a year, trying to get them to interact, and then Cloud comes up with something random like that. But it fits. And I love it. :D

The way the tension builds up in this particular draft really had me on th eedge of my seat. Not to mention the details in the powering system that were left out before and added for this version (I don't remember it being so long before, but bear with me) were nice for just... substance purposes!

And Cloud ♥ You know, I like him in this. He reminds me of the Cloud I fell in love with in FFVII ^_^

In the first draft, the details were actually included in Reeve's little interaction with Rufus afterwards, but since I scrapped that in the 2nd draft, I had to put it elsewhere. So in the third draft when I re-included their little post-meeting conversation, the details stayed in Rufus' presentation.

The first draft was about the same, length-wise -- Reeve and Rufus talked a lot more after the meeting and it was all very blah and stupid. Detail is nice, deshou? :D

You like the Cloud in this? o_O He just strikes me as irritating and belligerent. But maybe it's because he's so hard to write.

He doesn't seem belligerant to me. As it is, he's saying everything out loud that I want to, myself... and with authority to people who won't listen to anyone else in the story that I find to just make sense. Over top the quibbling and get the facts laid out once more. It's kind of how Cloud worked in VII. And the fact that he's been semi-manipulated into it by Rufus sort of reminds me of Sephiroth doing it. So lol. /rant 8D

My Muse was ITCHING to write this scene where he sweeps and owns the floor. :D He's such a drama h0, I swear.
