I've actually done a really sloppy job explaining why the Turks like Rufus so much, but I'm not sure I can address that ^^; As long as it makes a good read... (I hope I didn't make you *too* late for work XD.)

I've actually never written or RP'd uber!seme!Rufus, although I know he's lurking around in the back of my head and griping about how I always misrepesent him. XD So I like my shachou with a side of sap. And mental breakdowns. (Your desktop is still dead? Oh noes!)

This might explain why they went to such lengths to retrieve the Ancient and get rid of AVALANCHE. Their hands must have certainly been tied. *grin* This.... is just awesome! I want to make a huge shiny post, I CAN make a huge shiny post.

The idea of materia being used as sensory deprivation in addition to the traditional usage of them makes. Me. Happy. Extremely. I mean it is such an idea not expounded upon nearly enough. At all. This is just suddenly so much more amazingly cool. Talk about stakes being raised.

I mean, as an old-time gamer for the game, that just makes this insanely awesome. I would elaborate further, but work calls and I must flee!!!

I will elaborate later! I need a Tseng and Reno icon!

*grins* In the coming chapters, watch out for El's on-crack take on why the characterisation in FF7 is so awful.

Glad you like the materia idea. Materia is such an amazingly useful thing that I don't know why they don't use it more in everyday stuff. Industrial materia usage -- giving 4x cuts to woodcutters... XD

Wow. That was just... I mean... Wow. Poor Rufus... (Why can I never be coherent with these things?) And would that be AVALANCHE the second blowing up the reactor? :)

Of course, President Shinra is once again reinforcing my opinion that there was no-one more deserving of a big pointy sword through the back than him.

This fic, Empire, and Fathoms Deep kills me dead because of their uttter greatness. Your Rufus and the other characters are total awsomeness. *_*

But I couldn't just sit here and not respond to this chapter. The sensory depletion kills me dead too. Makes me hate President Shinra even more. (Didn't know that was possible.)

Please don't apologise for the random comments. I LOVE random comments. I'd much prefer random comments than silence :D. I'm glad you like; I'm doubly glad that this chapter was powerful enough to elicit reactions from most of the readers. It is one of the most highly charged chapters of the entire fic, and I tried to reflect it in the writing, but I wasn't sure how well I succeeded. (Apart from the abuse of capital letters by Reno XD)
