Going Cold Turkey is Hard When You're a Cat

Apr 22, 2014 01:25

I hope everybody had a lovely (Easter) weekend. I have a cold which just won't shift, which is making me feel unduly sorry for myself and once we got back from the inlaws this afternoon I spent the rest of the day in bed comfort reading Klaine fanfiction, compiling a writing play list and not, in fact, doing any writing. I have sorted out my PoV ( Read more... )

LOL!!

I'm thinking of her in Sheldon's voice, (from The Big Bang Theory "You're in my spot".) "Your in my bath."

I hope you feel better soon. Colds are vile. *hug*

Hahahahaha, she is the Sheldon of the feline race (hates cuddles and feels superior to all around her, expects others to accommodate her and manages to be cute while doing it).

Feel better soon. *hugs*

I've been reading very little Klaine lately. I'm not sure I like them all that much anymore. They're kind of boring now, aren't they? I have a fresh crush on my OTP in stead. :D

I've never read much in the way of Klaine fanfiction - the few I have have mostly been AUs. Glee is more of a habit with me - I hate the writing on the show so much at times but I like what the characters could have been, maybe, or what they have the potential to be. Which is pretty much the point of fanfic.

I just ambled over here after seeing your cat photo on fire's journal, possibly to avoid the writing I'm supposed to be doing. Am laughing in sympathy about your cat. I spent over ten years with one that had me turning the tap on to a trickle when entering the bathroom, and off again when I left. It became pretty much as automatic as brushing my teeth. Cats! Maybe a cat fountain for yours? :-D

I hope your cold's better.

Sorry the deleted comment above was mine, I posted it in the wrong place.

I've never heard of another cat who liked water as much as ours. Hi! I am also avoiding writing at the moment (I am so good at thinking of stories and so bad at writing them down).

Would you believe she has a cat fountain but that is much less interesting than THE BATH!! I feel bad for not turning the tap on for her because she loves it so (we used to do the same as you did for your cat), but she spends all her time meowing for it to be turned on - we have to shut her up in another room at night otherwise she spends the whole night meowing for the water. We've had some good weather, but she won't leave the bathtub/bathroom door to go outside so we're trying to break her of the obsession.

She sounds quite a character, shame you can't fix the fountain pipe onto the bath tap and recycle it round somehow to fool her. I had a cat once who liked swimming/fishing, and another who used to love getting really wet in the rain and would go under the shower with guests if we forgot to warn them (very disconcerting) as well as the one I mentioned already but wanting to drink running water all the time does sound a bit obsessive even for a cat. I'm assuming her kidneys are all right? But typical her ignoring the specially bought cat fountain for personal attention.

Avoiding writing is an art form.
