Ye Olde Exchange Fic...

Well... my secret's out. I wrote Seven Habits of Highly Hateful People for the sshg_exchange. And now I'm curious as to how many people figured me out, mostly because everyone kept saying in their reviews that they thought they knew who I was.

Because:

1) it was well-written both in the technical/grammar sense and in the flows-well, entertains, not stilted or overly wordy sense
2) stories matching #1 are proportionally very rare and tend to be attributable to a select group of authors (IMHO)
3) it was funny, light-hearted but not really snarky (so not Shiv)
4) it didn't involve libraries (not LillithJ)
5) wasn't threesomefic (not Shiv, LillithJ, or Pigwidgeon)
6) it involved adult Hermione very much NOT schoolage Hermione (e.g. Kalina or you but Kalina has been very busy with RL I think)
7) I knew it had to be someone on my friendslist/favorite authors list because well, I don't think there are many good authors in SS/HG that aren't on one or both of those. (so shoot me, but being mod of WIKTT and in this fandom for so many years has its perks) So, at the very least, I knew it had to be someone on my flist, which makes me suspicious.

I didn't figure out it was you, but your story and the one by ginnyw were on my top-tier of the exchange fics (that I managed to read). So, yay! The only author I managed to figure out was Pigwidgeon37 but I didn't exactly break my brain trying to put authors and stories together. :-)

I usually don't try to figure out who wrote what (I'm no good at it anyway), but this time around, so many of the reviews I got for the story were like, "I know who you are!!" And I had the sneaking suspicion they were wrong (mostly because they weren't people I knew at all), so I got curious.

And damn, there were a lot of fics, weren't there? I've got so many on my "To Read" list that I probably won't be done until, like, July. Everything I've read so far, I've enjoyed, though, and the prospect of good fic through July is quite appealing, now that I come to think of it...
