Work has been so busy recently and I was thinking if it's busy now - god help me when it's Christmas!! lol Me and Dan have finally sorted things out and have gotten everything we wanted off our chest's and it seems to be much better. Yay! Thanks to ALL for the support and comments... It really did help and I do mean that

A few things that irritate me about this entire NOLA mess.

A: You live in the Gulf. Get insurance. Get hurricane insurance, flood insurance, and general homeowners insurance.

B: The metorologists know FAR FAR ahead of time that a storm is coming. We had warnings weeks ago. It's not like we never had hurricanes in the gulf before. now, if one happened over Chicago, then I'd be mildly surprised.

I'm so glad everything worked out OK for you both! That sucks about Christmas... Maybe have a webcam at your parents' house, a webcam at yours and have Christmas online? Lol just a thought! ;-)
