Sunday night, I had a piano recital. But originally, I had been so nervous I paced a hole into my carpet - despite having perdormed on stage since I was four. Anyway, to get over my fears, I played for the camera. By the time it was my third time playing the songs through, I didn't make any mistakes! Yeah ( Read more... )

Cool. Well, except for pacing a hole in the carpet... pulling a Nushi? Stop pacing holes in the floor. lol

Wish I could have been there for your recital.

Yes, I'm pulling a Nushi. Lol!

Nah, don't worry about it. Recitals come and go, and they're really no big deal unless you're a little kid. That's when the presences of your parents and friends in the audience mean the most. :)

Say, does Athena play anything that she likes?

Athena is still working on learning the basic notes on the guitar, when she feels like sitting down and practicing. She just got off groundation again, so I expect her to start playing with her friends more again. She was supposed to be in her class's Cinderella play, but the days of the performance she was home sick. Her best female friend was her fill-in. Athena was supposed to be Cinderella.

That's terrible. I hope she wasn't too bothered by it. Is she better now?

Guitar... that's pretty darn tricky. I tried to teach myself using my brother's guitars, but my hands are too small to actually play it. I have trouble reaching an eight octave on the piano (max. hand span of 7 inches,) and that's bad enough. Good luck to her though - hope she sticks to it.The earlier you learn something, it becomes ingrained over the years and will certainly prove handy.
