I went to Comic Fiesta yesterday and was officially introduced to the state of Malaysian anime conventioneering. Now I cannot say if this is actually representative of conventions in Malaysia. But anyway, the focus of this convention was on giving amateur artists a chance to sell their doujinshi and artworks. Which is to say that it was basically

wait- it's hard to tell in the pic, but the girl next to chibiusagi looks like Masako! o.o

the group cosplay is harukana....whatever shoujo game. ^_^; gina and i were gonna cosplay that for AX masq last year before we decided to give them the birdy. we are still contemplating doing it at some point, possibly even for this coming AX masq. i'm supposed to be the purple haired dood. ^_^

I totally score! I thought those characters looked familiar -- the Harukana game, I mean. The one with the mask over his face & the purple guy, I mean.

And Haya, you say "next year I'll..." but how do you know we sneaky people won't find a way to lure you back to the US by then? ;-) We're working on it, we really are!

Yah, I think your unknown is a Neoroma group, as those others pointed out, some are from Harutoki 3 (the purple-haired character is Hoshi Soichirou's character, whose name I can never remember); the masked character is Ishida Akira's character, Sensei. The teal-haired one is Inoue Kauhiko's onmyouji ... but I think the others might be from Neo Angelique (I'm looking at the white-haired one with the collar in particular).

The quality does look really good. And I'm impressed that they filled 100 booths with fan/original artists. And yes, hopefully we'll have you back /here/ next year!
