Hello and salutations! My name is Melodie, aka ISolemnlySwear934, and I want to start off by offering copious thanks to anyone and everyone involved in the process by which I was nominated for this. It is an honor and a privilege! I was sent this nifty list of questions which I have very creatively copied into this post, and presto, there's my ( Read more... )

Why thank you so very much for the lovely comments/questions! Let's see:

1. I do loosely plot out stories in the sense that I always know where they're going (I find if you start blind it tends to turn into an incoherent mess), but I almost never know the ending at first. It's more fun that way. Seasons Without will be about two more chapters and an epilogue, by my estimation. Character cameos may include Sir Cadogan, Percy Weasley, Kreacher, and a Very Important Person who is one of a group of four, and will remain unnamed. (Cryptic enough? Sorry, I just don't want to ruin it...)

2. I don't think I'll be writing any more chaptered Dramione fics for a while due to time constraints, but I do have a few one-shots planned that I may be able to work on over Christmas. The first is an AU war fic with Draco working for the order. The second is a completely insane crack!fic of Draco as the Grinch, trying to steal Christmas from Hogsmeade.

I hope this adequately answers your questions, thanks again! Cheers :)

Hermione, full stop. I've always wanted to hear "Hogwarts, A History" recited at top speed from cover to cover.

I laughed a lot at this one.

It's too bad about HP fandom, how it's segmented so much (though it does make searching for fic easier.) I multiship to an extent too (Pansy/Hermione and Lucius/Hermione is interesting, and occasionally I'll read Hermione/Ron just to avoid bashing) and it's always fun to find people who multiship too :)

Lovely interview! I enjoyed it. Off to read some of your stories.

Merci, gracias, thank you! I agree about the segmentation of fandom, because all the characters are so rich and fascinating. Not that there's anything wrong with people focusing on a few if they choose, I just wouldn't want to miss out. But, wow, I've never even heard of Hermione/Pansy before! Would make an interesting counterpart to Drarry if done well. I'll be sure to check it out.

Cheers! :)

*nods* I think it is partly because it's SO ENORMOUS. I have never seen anything like it. (Even now, omg.)

It's weird, I start shipping people while reading other fic! Pansy/Hermione appeals to me on the enemies-to-friends level (actually, that seems to be most of my ships!) but kind of harder to find as f/f.

Well first, thanks so much for voting! I really appreciate it. *dances and flails* Now about shipping... I know, I know, Tomione is a WILDLY unpopular ship (that's probably part of the appeal for me), but what can I say? When done well it's a breath of fresh air. It's nice to see some fellow Romiones around here! Nothing wrong with embracing multiple ships ( ... )

I just read your interview thingy anonymous August 5 2013, 10:24:43 UTC
This is Mariam, and I don't have an LJ account (although I've been told I should). How cool is this?! So professional and whatnot; I think your writing career is shaping up really well :) Reading, I was reminded of how excited I am about your book. Definitely one to put on the shelves, like, "I (sort of) knew her before she was famous!" Haha I can't wait. It was interesting to read, in all honesty. Romione was one of my first ships as well. In the HP world that is; outside of that I was rooting for Number 3 and Number 4 in that old cartoon network show, Kids Next Door? But when I'm reading the books, I completely forget Dramione and I find Ron and Hermione's thing so so lovely ( ... )

HARRY IS SO OVERLOOKED! God, he is the sassiest character, he goes through so much... I'm so glad you said that. Even OotP Harry gives me a lot of feels, because to be honest, which of us was an angel at 15? And that's without the whole world turning against you and a murderer tailing you every year.
I've never seen Kids Next Door. I was sort of a twisted child, started watching The X-Files when I was four, so I'm not well versed in cartoons. But I'll look it up.
Seasons Within ahahahAHAHAhah! I almost snorted milk out my nose when I read that. Yeesh. Lame humor is the best kind of humor.
Thank you for commenting!!!!!!!!!
