I'm probably too used to being an obscure fanficcer who writes most of her stories in a language nobody reads (French! Gasp!) and doesn't know anyone in the fandom anyway. congratulations on being featured! :D yes, too much vitriol being thrown at poor, hapless ron! and your characterization of him in this story was fabulous--hence the well-deserved feature!

i love what you said about the world not being black-and-white--so true! and the aftermath of war is sometimes just as devastating--you captured that really well when you described the fallout of something as preposterous as a marriage law.

and while ron was the focus of the nomination, ALL your characters stood out, had believable personalities and problems.

I'd never heard of this story before, and I'm glad I have! What I've read in this Q&A make it sound very promising and, though I don't know if I'll get to it soon, it's definitely going to go onto my Bookshelf as a 'to read'! So congrats on being featured; I'm sure it's well deserved!

Some easy questions, I guess, since I haven't read yet: Is French your first/native language? And would you share the link to where your French fics are archived? It may sound weird, but I'm trying to re-learn the language, and textbooks can be so dull. I figure that maybe if I dive into some juicy fics written by a native speaker, it might make things a little easier for me. Or maybe that idea is crazy, hahaha.

I'm happy that you liked my description of the story! I hope it won't disappoint when you end up reading it.

French is my first language, but not my mother tongue if that makes any sense (my family speaks another language as well which I haven't learned too well, though I can understand most conversations). Most of my French fics are archived at FF.net (here). I also have some on this French archive. Warning: some of those are very old, unfinished and not my best work at all.

If you're looking for good D/Hr in French, I can rec a few stories by other authors as well. Let me know :)
