I need a fashion and a makeup consultant.

I need to hire people to do these things, preferably people around my own age, who have experience working with my particular needs (over-40 skin, hooded eyelids and puffy eyes, a specific taste in clothes). Figuring out this crap from fashion magazines and the internets is a study in frustration

Pinterest is telling me that a white tee with a denim vest/jacket might be the way to go. I could rock that, I think. Maybe a black tee with the denim vest... Hmm. maybe I'm too stuck on coral. *gasp* what about a coral denim vest?!

I wouldn't wear coral for ANYTHING. It's not on my colour wheel.

I'd go with either black or white and I like the denim idea, but a jacket NOT a vest. Finding decent shirts for our size is REALLY HARD. I have had some limited luck at Avenue, tho. There's one in Shamrock plaza corner of N Druid and L'ville Hwy.

I'd recommend trying to find a stretch cotton fabric. I personally love 3/4 sleeves, but they are hard to find. I hate trying to find clothes. Ugh. The avenue has been the best for me. I like JCPenney ANA jeans, too. But tops, I just end up w/ Avenue or T shirts.

OH and as for makeup: indeed, the 80s are back. I've seen teal eye shadow! LOL

I use a simple palette of pinks, whites and oranges in shimmer. Occasionally purple or black, but only for night. I only put on eyeliner if I'm going OUT or doing a gig. When I do, I keep that simple as well and use pencil as opposed to liquid like I used to. I also like the line quality from the gel type liner you put on with a brush. I use Almay black mascara.

As for skin coverage. Ugh. For casual wear, I use a powder foundation. If my skin is being bitchy, I'll use a make up primer. If I'm going OUT or having a long day, I'll do full liquid foundation.

For lips, I've given up dark colours and reds and kept with a light pinkish look. I feel a dark or very red lip is not flattering on me any more.
