I like to share my gamer geeking, apparently.

A while ago, I needed some new 10-siders for a World of Darkness game I was going to be playing in. Consequently, I bought these dice. This year at Dragon*Con, I decided I needed a new D&D dice set. I'd actually tried looking at the gaming shop I've been going to since I was eight, but they only had 10-sided and 6-sided dice. (WTF? Since when ( Read more... )

I think the whole idea of knitting yourself a dice bag is just kind of awesome.

Ooh, pretty yarn.

I'm laughing right now because twice my sister has had me knit a new dice bag for her because her old bag didn't look good with the new dice. You're not the only one. :)

I planning on stealing all the black and purple dice from our current dice bag, not to mention maybe some of the blue d20s also. The blue d20s have always been good to me. Especially that time I rolled three 20s in a row.

I'll post a pic of the yarn later! Along with better pics of my dice.

I, um, actually have differently-colored sari silk yarn to knit a new zil (finger cymbal) pouch with too.

Chessex! Chessex is such a dangerous company; I'm always liable to give them too much money.

I also see nothing wrong with kitting a bag for your dice. The dice bag a friend of mine made for me broke, and I've been using a plastic baggie. I'm highly jealous of you right now.

What's your address? I have a fabric bag that I can send you that I sewed a few years back that would be a perfect dice bag. Also, do you have a couple favorite colors? I can sort through the bags I have and look for something you might not hate.

Chessex is awesome. In a scary way. I had to resist the urge not to buy blue sparkly dice too, because they would complement the purple sparkly dice SO WELL. It was kind of sad.

Er, favorite colors? I tend to favor darker colors, like black, blue, red, and gray. Also, you're awesome. I'll email you my address.

I also have to restrain myself from buying sparkly dice. It's about the only thing sparkly I'd actually buy.

Edit: where by "PM", I mean "email"

Hee! PM, email, it's all good. I'm sure I can find something! I've got a few lying around, at least.

Sparkly dice are awesome. I don't think I own anything else sparkly. Er, except some lip gloss. I'm feeling surprisingly girly today, I have to say.

I know nothing about dice, particularly, but I learned a GREAT DEAL about iCarly on our last family vacation. so you might have possibly piqued my interest with that fic idea.

Oh, God, it's slightly embarrassing. But. Seriously. They're duct-tied together and Carly's asking what it felt like for Sam and Freddie to kiss? And earlier Carly and Freddie were wrestling and ending up on top of each other? And even before that Sam was cuddled up to Carly and stroking her hair?

I'm not strong-willed enough not to think of fic for that. I'm just not.

LOL. Definite potential there! I'm kind of interested in what exactly happened to all those parents, myself. Spencer was involved, I'm sure, I just haven't figured out if he did it to protect Carly (since they were evil spies) or, he was a werewolf.

I, uh, possibly shouldn't watch Kiddo's shows... :)

I think that I'm VERY RELIEVED that you watch Kiddo's shows, because then I have someone to talk about them with. I make the kidlet watch iCarly instead of Hannah Montana, because I prefer iCarly.

Canon-wise, we have no clue what happened to his and Carly's mom, but their dad is apparently a submarine captain? In the Navy? I looked this up. Freddie's dad probably ran screaming (I believe Freddie's mom was raised in the circus, if you've seen the fencing ep), and Sam's mom is a running joke (which is kind of sad).

I know way too much about this show. Seriously.

Chessex! I always stop by their booth at Comic-Con. Too many pretties to resist. That purple/gold combo was really tempting me this year, but I managed to resist. Barely. Besides, I've already got their Borealis Clear w/black set because I frakin' had to get a set that coordinated with my birthstone (opal). Yes, I'm crazy, why do you ask? ;P

Chessex just has PRETTY dice, though their cheat dice make me leery of them. (I once gamed with a guy who rolled 18+ far too often to have normal dice.)

I love the Borealis dice, and I was kind of looking at the clear with black, but one of my friends who's in our Friday night game already has that set, and I didn't want to duplicate what she had.
