I went out to try round 2 with the car today and went, "Wow! it is demonstrably warmer than it was yesterday!" and then failed with round 2 with the car, came inside, and cried a lot before calling in "fuck this cold" to work.

Buuuut windchill advisories in the city will be ending before noon and we have a high of +15! I NEVER thought I would flap with joy for a high of 15 degrees.

It is demonstrably warmer than yesterday! My fingers did not start getting chilled inside their gloves from a mere five minutes' exposure! We're up to all of -3 (wind chill of -23) out here in the suburbs! I probably won't even need two lap blankets on my drive home, just one.

I hope you're feeling better! Good luck with this term, and while I understand your longing for summer, I'm going to enjoy the cooler temperatures down here for a bit (we did reach 16 last night, though, which by Central Texas standards is purt' darn chilly).

Honestly, half the reason I'm longing for summer is that's when my program will be over. I've been lucky with the bad temperatures here that I've been able to stick around indoors for the majority of it.
