Aw, but this feedback totally made my day, thank you! :) I love being able to fix where the show went wrong.

"The sudden-onset pregnancy is leaving me a little dubious you're who you look like," said Major Lorne. "No offense."

Aww, Lorne. No need to be jealous.

It had been too long since she had a friend on Atlantis that she could confide in, not the way she could speak with Kate or Elizabeth.

*sigh*

If only this had been The Last Man. Or Woman, as the case may be. Can you imagine them ending S4 by resetting and fixing all the stupid mistakes they made? Oy. If only I'd taken over the whole world by then!

Well, this particular timeline of Lorne is wondering about the might-have-beens all of a sudden...

If you'd just get around to taking over the world already, things would go a lot better for women in sci fi. Surely you have a plan in place?

Of course. It involves brownies. (no, really.)

Ooh, brownies? You're truly diabolical.

God. I want brownies now. They'd make my cramps better. Or they won't, but I'll pretend they would.

Ah, Havoc waves her wand and brings forth life. I love Teyla-centric stories, and just recently relived her fabulous ruthlessness when she rescued John and killed Michael...can't remember the episode name. Don't mess with *this* mother. You also write strong, multifaceted pregnant women, of which I heartily approve. I've only seen you do it twice (there might be more) but I kind of think of it as your trademark. Often, when a character gets knocked up, she becomes nothing but decoration, or her pregnancy happens entirely offscreen, until, of course, the ratings-worthy crisis of birth.
I really enjoyed this. Thanks for sharing it.

Teyla is just made of nothing but awesome, isn't she?

*hugs* Thank you! I think that I don't write pregnant characters that often, because I want to take the time to do it right, and not ignore things like the hormone surges (ugh), the aching back, and the baby hiccupping (weirdest. feeling. EVER.). Some day I'm going to write the entire nine month process. I think. If I ever have the time.

I did write one Teyla/Rodney ficlet that you might not have read. Where they're trapped on a shuttlecraft together and she goes into labor? Here we go: In Orbit.

Often, when a character gets knocked up, she becomes nothing but decoration, or her pregnancy happens entirely offscreen, until, of course, the ratings-worthy crisis of birth. You're so right! And it's incredibly frustrating, because it's so incredibly not reflective of reality. When we get pregnant ( ... )

Hee! Awesome. I'm so glad you like! And yes. We don't get nearly enough of them these days, do we? (I'm really sad I didn't have time to do the Teyla and Elizabeth scene.)
