Very nice. For some reason, my favorite moment was when John told Elizabeth she looked like hell. I thought it was amazingly in character. He's kind of plastic-fake with the alien priestesses but he's so damn honest and comfortable with women he actually likes.

Thank you! *glees* You're absolutely right about John being plastic-fake with the alien priestesses (and other alien women that tend to set themselves in his path). I've always looked at it as a "how can I get them out of my way easily" kind of thing. But with Elizabeth and Teyla, he's able to be himself more. They've been together and earned that kind of trust from him.

Dude. First of all? Rodney/Teyla for the win. I <3 them so.

Also? I love your Shep/Weir relationship and all its subtleties. And your team characterization is perfect. I can very much see this happening in the show (you know, without the ship).

Plus, bonus points:

"I was thinking, for your information, that I'm not gonna lose Teyla the way you lost Elizabeth!" spat Rodney. "Not without actually telling her how I feel."

for having Rodney out John's love. It is my secret desire!

Awesome =)

Rodney/Teyla are surprisingly awesome. I do love them. Hadn't expected to, but, yeah. They're great. (I'm willing to give almost any pairing a try. But I love when I get to fall in love with a new pairing.)

Thank you! Do you believe I started watching SGA going, "I'm just not going to 'ship those two. No. I'm not. Definitely not." *facepalm* I so ate my words on that one. I love the team dynamics so much. Thank you! I'm so glad they work for you.

Bwah! I get the feeling he was about getting ready to knock their heads together anyway.

Thanks back. It's an X-Men comics reference, heh.

I recognize the Madripoor reference. I had a WHOLE LOT of emotional energy invested in the whole Kwannon-or-Psylocke storyline for a while there (Siege Perilous, Betsy-through-the-mirror, Wolverine and Jubilee go to Madripoor, etc.). But that was, admittedly, a while ago, so I'm not sure where the 'rose' part came from.

Oh you rock so much for this! Great story, and really well written. Loved the dream sequence with Elizabeth giving the Wraith looks and Stever just walking on by. I am totally dreading the season premier, but you are making it far more bearable. That's the great thing about the Gate universe right - there's always an alternate reality wherein Janet lives, Beckett didn't get blown up, and Lizze and John live happily ever after!

Thank you! *giggling* It's got to be so surreal, talking to your not-quite-girlfriend in your sleep. I'm really glad you like this! And the season premiere should be...interesting.

Hey, do you watch Heroes at all? Mostly I'm just wondering. And I'll probably be around tonight if you are! Tuesdays are basically my "get home from class, check e-mail for half an hour, crash out very hard" nights.

Hopefully she won't kill me for this veering pretty far away from her initial prompt...

*smirk* Normally I'd have to do something evil, but this is just too sweet for words. ;)

I love it. *bounce*

Normally you'd have to do something evil, regardless of whether I'd stuck to the prompt or not. Because, well, you're you. :P

I love it. *bounce*

Yay! I hope I got enough Sam in there for you. Alas, I wasn't able to work more than the barest hint of Sam/Jack in there.
