Leverage 2.15 blow by blow - It's the Finale!

Feb 17, 2010 22:14

I've been watching the mini-marathon TNT is airing before the new episode starts, and I find myself constantly pouting over the fact that the season is going to be done! At least they start filming March 1, right? And Rogers has mentioned the first script has already been turned in... so. Yeah no, not helping. Except maybe not to panic once the ( Read more... )

Bravo, is the only response I could come up. I felt like standing up and giving them an ovation.

I did sort of miss the Maltese Falcon connection and why it kept bugging Eliot. But that's a teeny point compared with the rest of the episode.

I think it's how he figures out which boat it is. I think.

It is. They absolutely didn't know where to look, and then Eliot remembers the note and that it has to be italian, and then they could look it up. That's how I understood it...

Yeah, I picked up on it on the rewatch. I couldn't understand what Eliot was saying, and I missed that the boat's name was Maltese Falcon in Italian...

I have to skip all the blow by blow because I won't get to see it until late tonight. *cries*

I just want to say that I absolutely adore Christian's top 5 fairy tales. #5 is iffy. But the rest? Absolute love.

Serious flailing, yes? *g* I loved the scene with Tara and Parker in the car, after the rooftop, where Parker says "Oh, that's silly." and you can totally see that she would have dropped Tara without hesitation if she hadn't been convincing...

I totally spotted Sophie early because of one spoiler pic - I remembered her jacket! :-) And she totally kicked ass! Yay for slapping Nate, he really deserved that.

Eliot's countdown? So much love. *nodnod* And Eliot was also ready to sacrifice himself, right? When he said "I can take those guys", uh, Eliot, a lot of FBI agents with guns, ready to shoot? You have a deathwish? And that last look from the helicopter? AAAHH!!

I think the explosion was the van in Three Strikes Job - counts as finale.

And Hardison, how he gets desperate to reach Parker! And torturing the mayor! Um, I think the accent was meant to be scottish - I can remember Rogers mentioning it when he talked about that horrible Ice Man accent. *g*

I have more to say, but the freaking phone won't shut up. *g* Later!

If it was meant to be Scottish, it's epic fail. It doesn't sound like Scottish to me at all, and granted, I'm not a native, but I've been and no. Just no. But given being in Boston (and maybe with Doyle as inspiration) Irish would make sense...

Ah, you're probably right about the explosions. Hadn't thought of it that way.

I want to watch it again nooooow!

DOOO IIIIT! *g*

I never can distinguish accents that much, so... *shrugs* *g*

I loved how Sterling looks totally baffled and answers "I have no idea" when the FBI guy asks "Who the hell is this guy?" He ttoally didn't expect that. And I think that too is a Maltese Falcon reference - Sam Spade at one point pretends to collaborate with the "bad guys" only to play out different in the end. Plus, Sterling thought he got his very own Maltese Falcon - Nathan Ford and his team AND the other bad guy. But, like the false bird in the book - Nate played him.

And his "You are the most honorable people I ever met" teared me up. Oh Nate... finally found his identity.

Now please the "Free Nate Job" as S3Ep1. *g*

ETA: And that Morpheus moment with the handcuffs? Whoa, Eliot really doesn't like being cuffed. *smirk*

And I just can't stop laughing. In the question post to Episodes 14/15 someone AGAIN rants about how bad fanfiction and especially slash fiction is and justifies herself by "quoting" John Rogers. The fun train on this? SHE GOT THE QUOTE WRONG!!!
Her: "However, my remark was based on a comment John Rogers made some posts back where someone asked him about the door Eliot cut into Nate's apartment in The Beantown Job, asking if we would ever see that door and know what was beyond. Rogers answered, (more or less) "That is the door behind which all fanfiction lies. Don't open it. Don't even go near it.""

And the actual quote from Ep 9 QP? Yes, I looked it up, during work time. It bugged me. *g* Emphasize is mine:
"That room is where the fanfiction comes true. You must never look in that room. DO NOT EVEN LOOK AT THE DOOR ( ... )
