The first entry on my flist just now was this, wherein the first sentence is this:
Up until now the Comic Book Legal Defense Fund has defended Artists, Writers, Publishers, and Retailers. We've never had to defend a reader before.

I feel SLIGHTLY better knowing it was asshole feds, instead of the state of Iowa being stupid.

It was mostly feds, I guess (I'd been thinking that the PI was local, but USPS is federal and I'm kind of an idiot), but (from that second article) what happened after the warrant was obtained was this:
Unaware that his materials were searched, Handley drove away from the post office and was followed by various law enforcement officers, who pulled him over and followed him to his home. Once there, agents from the Postal Inspector's office, Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, Special Agents from the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, and officers from the Glenwood Police Department seized Handley's collection

so there were also 2 non-fed groups involved. I'd also been thinking that the feds wouldn't need them there, per say. And I think it's being tried by the state, not fed court. Thus my subject line... Think I should change it? :/
