OMG - either time to change the kitty litter, Neko is very young, or Neko is unhappy with you and letting you know.

I'd laugh, but I'd had a cat do that to me, and at that time, I snarled.

Unless Neko is a very young kitten, I would suggest it might be time for a trip to the vets - sounds like the little guy might be sick, or very, very stressed for some reason.
