I wish I had something useful to say, but all I can offer is transoceanic support and guessing. Is there anyone at your school you can talk to for help with this? I have no idea how college health care is in the UK, but there seems like there should be someone. Or is something like an ER an option at all?
Well there is an ER (called A&E), but luckily I avoided that. I did see a doctor, ended up being admitted to a hospital overnight for monitoring, discharged and referred to a cardiologist in Newcastle. So most of the above whining is now moot.
College health care doesn't really exist because they have the NHS, so everyone just gets seen for free anyway.
Well, I'm glad that you got some kind of help, and I really hope you're feeling better! Maybe next time I Skype with Abby and her British boyfriend over there in Scotland I'll ask her to give me a crash course in UK medicine... I knew the NHS was a thing, and that it's different than here, but I don't know the details.
If you ever need anything though, even just someone to whine to, don't hesitate to ask!
