Summary: William Beckett is a shy, quiet, reserved, academically perfect student. Gabe Saporta is a screw off Senior who is one performing arts credit away from not graduating. When Gabe is faced with the decision to repeat his senior year or participate in the school play, he opts for the play, not intending to snag a lead role in the production of Jesus Christ, Superstar. What surprises him even more than his role as Judas in the musical is William Beckett, who holds the role of Jesus. At first, Gabe is dumbfounded by the transformation William undergoes when he is onstage, turning from a shy, quiet loner to a tall, thin powerhouse. As the play continues, Gabe begins to wonder how William can be so loud, so vibrant on stage, when the second he slips out of his role and back into his own skin, the boy can barely speak above a whisper.
Disclaimer: FICTIONAL! Oh, and the title is from Jesus Christ, Superstar.

“No!” Brendon gasped as he looked at Nate. “Gaskarth and Barakat want to sabotage Gabe?”
“Yes!” Nate nodded emphatically. “I heard it with my own two ears and Alex saw it with his own two eyes!”
“Why didn’t you see it?” Brendon asked.
“I was staring at Alex’s ass.” Nate shrugged.
“Oh, forgivable.” Brendon agreed. “What are we going to do? We can’t just let them get away with that! Gabe HAS to be our Judas! He’s the best!”
“I know.” Nate nodded. “That’s why we’ve decided to serve them up a nice, heaping, steaming plate of revenge.”
“Oh, fun!” Brendon clapped his hands with glee, the top hat nearly falling off of his head as he jumped up and down. “What can I do?”
“We’ll keep you posted,” Nate stated. “But for now, just spread the word, ok? Avoid telling anyone who would rat us out to Jalex.”
“Jalex?” Brendon frowned, confused.
“Jack and Alex, it’s just easier to make them one, since Jack is basically Alex’s bitch anyways,” Nate explained.
“Oh, got it.” Brendon smiled. “Ok, so spread the word, get posted, this is going to be fun! Like a secret spy network or something!”
“Yes.” Nate nodded, practicing his evil smirk. “Yes it is, now run along, minion, carry your message.”
“Ok!” Brendon turned, running off down the hallway, gripping the brim of his top hat with one hand. He was panting heavily by the time he ran smack into Ryan Ross. “Ryan! Ryan! Ryan!” Brendon was red in the face, practically hyperventilating with excitement as he looked at his boyfriend, who was currently trying to steady himself on a row of lockers, his balance altered slightly by the impact of Brendon’s zooming into him.
“Breathe, Bren.” Ryan put his hands on Brendon’s shoulders, breathing in an out in an exaggerated fashion, trying to pass the breathing method on to Brendon.
“Gabe! Alex! Jack!” Brendon took deep breaths between each word, ignoring Ryan’s breathing advice entirely. “Sabotage! Secret spy network!”
“Whoa, whoa, whoa, slow down!” Ryan rolled his eyes, pressing his lips to Brendon’s forehead in an attempt to calm the excitable young pianist. “I can’t understand you when you talk like that! You know this, we’ve been over it, so just take a few deep breaths and then explain it. I guarantee that if you do that, you’ll tell me faster than if we play panting charades.”
“Okay.” Brendon nodded, closing his eyes, taking two long breaths as he calmed himself down, enjoying the feel of Ryan’s warm lips against his forehead. “Now can I explain it?” he asked, still clearly impatient.
“Go ahead.” Ryan nodded, pulling back to hear Brendon out.
“Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat are plotting to sabotage Gabe so that Alex can play Judas!” Brendon blurted out. “Nate and not-evil Alex - you know, Suarez, they overheard and Nate says we have to band together to serve them revenge, which apparently is going to be awesome, and that we all have to work together like a spy network!”
“Did he say spy network, or did you?” Ryan asked.
“Well I did, but he said okay!” Brendon grinned. “So, what do you say? Help us?”
“What’s in it for me?” Ryan asked, carefully raising one eyebrow.
“Oh, I hadn’t thought of that.” Brendon frowned, pulling away from Ryan as he thought for a few moments, tapping his chin. After a short time, a grin spread over the younger boy’s face and Ryan’s eyes widened with confusion. “I’ve got it!”
“Got what?” Ryan asked.
“What’s in it for you, silly!”
“Well what is it?”
“This!” Brendon lunged forwards, pinning Ryan against the lockers as he began to kiss him aggressively. He pulled away after a couple of a seconds, a smirk on his face. “There’s more where that came from,” he added in a teasing, sing-song voice.
“Alright, I’m in.” Ryan sighed, knowing that, even without the kiss, he would have given into Bren’s puppy eyes eventually - it was just too difficult not to.
“Oh yay!” Again, Brendon clapped with glee. “This is gonna be GREAT! Just make sure that no one would rat us out to Jalex hears about this!”
“Okay.” Ryan gave in without hesitation, causing Brendon to frown. “Okay, you were clapping with glee seconds ago, why are you frowning at me?”
“Because you didn’t ask what a Jalex was!”
“It’s Jack and Alex.” Ryan shrugged. “Everyone knows that!”
“Oh.” Brendon sighed. “Why doesn’t anyone ever tell me anything? I didn’t know that!”
“So wait, you know that we’re Ryden, right?” Ryan asked, raising a quizzical eye at his eccentric boyfriend.
“WE HAVE A MASHED UP CELEBRITY COUPLE NAME?!” Brendon asked, his frown splitting into the largest grin that Ryan had seen from Brendon in awhile. “That’s AWESOME!”
“I can’t believe you didn’t know that, it’s not exactly news.” Ryan couldn’t help but laugh at Brendon as the boy grinned.
“Oh well, that’s still SO cool!” Brendon leaned in, kissing Ryan on the cheek. “Anyways, I have to go spread the word! Remember what I said! Only tell the good guys - were this information to fall into the wrong hands, we would have a SERIOUS Gaskank circus running around here.”
“Hey, I’ll see you later, right?” Ryan asked as Brendon hurried off.
“Of course!” Brendon shouted down the hallway, one hand keeping his top hat in place. “I just have to tell a few more people! Don’t go home without me!”
Once Brendon was out of sight, Ryan headed for William’s locker. He leaned up against it, waiting for the taller boy to approach. When William showed up a few minutes later, Ryan straightened, but didn’t move.
“So, Alex Gaskarth and Jack Barakat are conspiring against Gabe. They really think he doesn’t deserve the part or something.”
“Yeah, I know.” William nodded, letting out a deep sigh. “Suarez told me a few minutes ago, mentioned some sort of revenge plans?” He shrugged. “I don’t know, I’m staying out of it.”
“Not surprising.” Ryan nodded as he looked at his friend. “What do you think of Gabe?”
“I think he needs to keep his focus on the play and out of my business,” William stated. “Other than that, I don’t give a shit.”
“William…” Ryan bit his lip. “Aside from singing, from the play, and school, do you give a shit about anything?”
“What else is there, Ryan?” William gently nudged the other boy aside and opened his locker. He grabbed his books, shoved them into his backpack, and slammed his locker shut, pushing past Ryan with his head down.
“Wow, someone’s in a mood.” Brendon walked back up to Ryan, lacing his fingers through his boyfriend’s.
“I don’t think he’s in a mood, I think he’s just being William.” Ryan shrugged, squeezing Brendon’s hand. “That boy’s an enigma.”
“Yeah, well I think maybe someone’s going to figure him out soon.”
“What?” Ryan looked down at Brendon with surprise. “He doesn’t talk to anyone about anything unless it’s school or the play.”
“He talks to Gabe.” Brendon shrugged and began to walk, tugging Ryan’s hand, urging the boy to come with him.
“Where are we going?” Ryan asked, whining slightly and Brendon pulled him forwards.
“You’re walking me home.”
