The dynamic you created here where Ianto is holding on tight to his hatred of Jack, but it keeps slipping away, and he has to deal with that loss of control... it's really disturbing and really good. Awesome remixing.

I love this. And that's all. But I love the way it feels like release the same moment Ianto makes his decision.

Wow, that was amazing! It nearly made me cry at the end and I loved the little details you put in (like Rhys' handwriting for example). The changes between Ianto's thoughts and his answers to Jack's questions were also absolutely brilliant. Great work, I want to read more! =)

I very much liked in the original how confrontational Ianto was, but when it came to remixing I wanted to try tweaking his characterization and motivation a little. A lot of Ianto's inner dialogue (and the lines he makes up for Jack) are lifted from the original, just presented as figments of Ianto's imagination. I had a lot of fun leaving so much unspoken.

Thanks!

he’d flushed all his Panadol down the toilet in a fit of impossible determination and then been sick just out of the enormity of it, the fact that choosing to live had turned out to be just as scary as choosing to die

The sellotape and guttering candle, and "why did you kiss me?" So very poetic!

I just love the bit about finding Rose's name. And what a great ending.

Thank you, this sat without an ending for such a long time until I rewatched that "Small Worlds" clip for inspiration and saw that folder, and it seemed like a perfect way to establish Jack's humanity in Ianto's eyes, for him to have lost someone, too.

Can't take credit for the "why did you kiss me?" as that's the anchoring line of the original. It is definitely great though, an awesome jumping off point!

Thanks!
